Bruce Branson, Associate Director of the ERM Initiative at NC State University, interviews Ward Sax, SVP, Treasurer, and Chief Risk Officer at RTI International, about risk assessment techniques that RTI has found to be successful in evaluating and prioritizing risks. Ward describes the process they use on a triennial basis to identify and assess the key risks and how that process also includes a quarterly refresh to ensure that emerging risks are identified and assessed in a timely manner. Ward also offer his thoughts on how organizations can implement an effective risk assessment process based on his experiences at RTI International.
